Giuseppe Sausa graduated in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Palermo, completing his thesis on left atrial appendage inversion in collaboration with Prof. Julius Guccione and Dr. Ghassan Kassab.

Following his master’s degree, Giuseppe began working as a researcher at IRCCS ISMETT within the INNOVA project, where he is developing computational models of the tricuspid heart valve and its repair using the MitraClip device. He continues to collaborate with Prof. Guccione on the development of mitral valve models derived from 3D echocardiography and works closely with cardiologists at ISMETT to ensure clinical relevance and validation of his models .
