Roberta Scuoppo graduated with honors in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Palermo in 2022. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, with a focus on verification, validation, and uncertainty quantification of transcatheter heart valve implantation, as part of the H2020 SimInSitu project.
Her research aims to evaluate the credibility of patient-specific computational models by developing uncertainty quantification methods based on surrogate modeling and Monte Carlo analysis. Roberta has gained significant experience with finite element software and the MATLAB programming environment.
She is a co-author of a book chapter on uncertainty quantification and completed a six-month research period at TreSquare Technology Srl, where she contributed to the development of novel resection and removal systems for degenerated aortic bioprostheses.
